Microsoft Print ServerΒΆ

Microsoft Print Server is a device that shares printers with client computers over a network through the Microsoft SMB protocol (Server Message Block protocol). It can be used only on Windows Client and it manages printers, printjobs and print queues.

The use of this tool is highly recommended because:

  1. It manages the printing system,

  2. It is installed once in a unique place and it is possible to configure all parameters only once for all client computers and

  3. It can work as buffer.

Microsoft Print Server is not included in the Genius Server and the maintenance is directly arranged by Microsoft so the amount of all charges is payable by the customer (for further details refer to the Microsoft Website).

The Genius Server is perfectly integrated with Microsoft Print Server to obtain the distribution and the sharing of printers and drivers on the Microsoft network.
