In this section the e-mail server can be configured to send and receive e-mails and to obtain scanned documents, process' notifications, etc.

The Genius Server accesses this e-mail server to send e-mails, which is necessary for scanning and notification processes. The settings are explained in more detail below.

[Advanced] Configuration

  • Pool size: the maximum number of processes, which send e-mails to the the SMTP server.

  • Watchdog scheduler interval: the watchdog interval after which the scheduler checks if there are expired e-mails or e-mails to be sent.

  • Max number of email for cluster execution: the number of e-mails processed for every watchdog execution.

Attachments

To avoid the saturation of the mail server caused by big attachment sizes, configure the Genius Server to send e-mails containing a link to download the attachments.

  • Base folder path: the base path used to store the binary data of attachments. Local or remote file system paths are allowed.

  • MIME encoding filename [Advanced]: if checked, attachments are encoded with ASCII characters through MIME utility.

  • MIME decode filename [Advanced] : if checked, attachments are decoded with ASCII characters through MIME utility.

Hint

Do not forget to click on Save to save the changes. When everything in the config tool is configured, the Genius Server needs to be restarted.
